How to make a choice
LGS offers a range of super and retirement products, so no matter what your situation, we have a product to suit you.
How do I select the right product for me?
How you invest your super can have a big impact on your final super account balance. When deciding which product to choose, there are a number of things to consider, including:
- How long do you have until retirement?
As a general rule, the younger you are the more risk you can afford to take, as you have time to ride out market fluctuations. But if retirement is just round the corner, you may wish to consider a more conservative investment option to protect the super you have accumulated so far.
- What is your risk profile?
Are you willing to tolerate more risk for the potential to gain a higher return? Or do you get nervous when markets take a downturn? Understanding your attitude to risk will help you to decide whether a more aggressive or conservative investment strategy is right for you.
- How much control do you want?
Do you like the flexibility to choose your own investments or do you prefer to leave it to the experts? You can invest in our DIY investment options or choose our pre-mixed options, depending on what your comfortable with.
If you're not sure how to select the right product for you, you should consider talking to a financial planner.
